Murder

Resources:

Cards with “clues” on- these are just statements of fact about the materials being learnt. Enough so each student in group has at least 5 cards.

Example Here and Answers Here

Questions- prepared so that they guide the students to help them match to statements. One document printed per group.

How It Works:

Here is a video presentation by the Science Dept. explaining this idea!!

•      Split the statements equally amongst the members of your group.
•      Do not show your information to anyone else.
•      Exchange information by word of mouth only.
•      Only one person in your group can write

AIM: TO MATCH ALL OF THE STATEMENTS TO THE QUESTIONS USING DISCUSSION ONLY. EACH STATEMENT CAN ONLY BE USED ONCE.

Variations:

After a set period of time, tell them how many statements match each question.

After  a set period of time, rotate group members.

After a set period of time, offer them the answer to one question only as long as the entire class all agree on which question they want.
